A keloid scar is a scar that is raised above the skin. Keloid scars do not fade or minimise in appearance over time, instead they expand.
A keoid scar is raised aboe the skin, it is purplish in colur and an irreguar shaped icluding, length and height.
Keloid scars are caused by a defect in wound healing, however the exact cause is yet to be determined.
