Dr Moncrieff’s focus – breast and body surgery

Dr Moncrieff is one of only a handful of Plastic Surgeons in Australia with a sole focus on breast and body procedures. His depth of experience in breast reductions, breast lifts, breast augmentation, tummy tucks and body liftsbody transformations is hard to match and he has performed thousands of surgical procedures in over more than two decades in medicine with over 20,000 of these performed in Newcastle

Dr Moncrieff’s commitment to learning and teaching

As well as being published in medical literature Dr Moncrieff presents on a regular basis in various medical forums and conferences around the country. He won the prestigious Bryan Mendelson award for his breast reduction paper and presentation to the 2014 Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery conference and recently co-authored a paper published in the March 2018 edition of the internationally acclaimed Plastic and Reconstructive Journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons following his contribution to a national study on the functional benefits of tummy tucks. That paper went on to win a Best Paper Award in 2019.

Dr Moncrieff was also on the faculty of the Breast Masters Symposium held in Sydney in October 2018. It brought together international leaders in breast surgery for what was the largest breast conference in Australia’s history.

Outside his practice, Dr Moncrieff is a proud father of three boys, including twins, and a patient fisherman. What do those interests mean for you? That he can multi-task, stays very calm under pressure and remains focused for hours – nice traits to have in a surgeon!
