Venus Heal soft tissue injury treatment
A Venus Heal treatment combines the power of three therapeutic modalities ‒ deep heating, pulsed magnetic energy and massage ‒ to speed up the recovery process of soft tissue injuries and conditions such as neck, shoulder and back pain, repetitive strain injuries and tennis elbow.

Using Multi-Polar Radio Frequency (RF) energy, Pulsed Electro Magnetic Fields (PEMF) and massage, the Venus Heal device reduces pain and swelling while improving blood circulation, muscle relaxation and range of motion in the targeted area.

Venus Heal treatments can be used alone or combined with other therapies to accelerate the recovery process.

Why

The treatment is ideal for anyone who wants to accelerate the healing of a soft tissue injury or condition, such as:

  •  Neck, shoulder, back, wrist and leg pain
  •  Repetitive strain and overuse injuries, (including carpal tunnel syndrome)
  •  Foot pain (including plantar fasciitis)
  •  Strained muscles
  •  Tennis elbow or Jumper’s knee

Procedure

After evaluating your soft tissue injury or condition, your treatment provider will gently move the Venus Heal device over the targeted area.

The way you will feel during the treatment will depend on what modality or combination of modalities your treatment provider chooses.

In RF mode, you will feel the applicator gradually grow warmer as it achieves a deep heating effect; in PEMF mode you may feel slight pulsating; and in massage mode you will feel a firm but comfortable kneading motion.

The treatment will generally take just five to 15 minutes, depending on the nature of your injury and the size of the treatment area.

Your total appointment time may however be longer if your provider is combining your Venus Heal treatment with other therapies.

Risks & Complications

Although Venus Heal is a healing treatment, for safety reasons, you may not be able to have the treatment if you are pregnant or are undergoing an IVF procedure, or if you have:

  • Active inflammation and/or infection in the treatment area
  • Current or history of cancer
  • A degenerative neurologic disease or any other disease around the treatment area that’s triggered by heat (e.g., herpes)
  • Any haematological disease
  • History of thrombophlebitis
  • Chronic medication of corticosteroids or beta-blockers
  • Any active implant in the body (e.g., internal defibrillator, pacemaker, etc.)
  • Any passive implants, excluding dental, in the treatment area (e.g., metal or silicone implants, injections, etc.)
  • Varicose veins
  • Skin-related autoimmune diseases.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. How are Venus Heal Treatments different to other soft tissue treatments?
A. RF, PEMF and massage have been used individually to treat soft tissue injuries and conditions for many years, but the Venus Heal is the first device to combine all three in one treatment.

When combined, these three modalities, each proven to effectively target soft tissue injuries and conditions, deliver faster results.

Q. Is a Venus Heal treatment painful?
A. No. The treatment is very comfortable. In fact, when performed first, Venus Heal can make other fascial treatments or stretching less painful.

Q. How long does a Venus Heal treatment last?
A. Treatment times will vary depending on the size and depth of your skin tissue injury or condition, but a single session typically takes 5-15 minutes.

Your total appointment time may however be longer if your provider is combining your Venus Heal treatment with other therapies.

Q. How far apart should Venus Heal treatment sessions be?
A. Venus Heal treatments are typically performed one to three times a week. Your provider will determine the best frequency for your injury or condition.

The PEMF and massage modes (with no RF) can be used daily if needed. However, the RF (deep heating) mode should not be used every day as the injured tissued needs at least 24 to 48 hours to heal itself between treatment sessions.

Q. Is there any downtime?
A. No

Q. How many treatments will I need to see results?
A. Patients often report a reduction in pain and muscle spasm, as well as an increase in range of motion after just one session.

However, additional treatments are encouraged to maintain these results and improve overall outcomes.

Typically, most patients receive four to six treatment sessions.

Although you may notice a significant improvement after one session, these results may lessen without an adequate number of subsequent treatments.

For this reason, you should complete the full treatment plan recommended by your treatment provider.
