Australian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists 2022 – It’s a wrap!

2 March, 2022

The Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists (ASCD) held its 2022 ASCD Symposium February 25-27 in the centre of Melbourne’s bustling waterfront hub at the Crown Conference Centre.

With plenty of big-city shopping, dining and entertainment on the banks of the Yarra River, the Symposium’s setting at the Crown Entertainment Complex was a great city, friends and beauty fix!

This year’s highlights included international keynote speakers from some of the biggest names in the aesthetics sector, including events hosted by Candela, Teoxane, Allergan and Galderma.

Other highlights included information exchanges on the Science of Beauty and of course presentations of the latest technology. There were also some serious issues addressed at the Symposium, such as potential Complications Management and some of the controversies that the industry has seen, especially over the last year.

Trade Interaction with companies presenting their latest in devices and cosmeceuticals was obviously one of the main features of the event, some of which I am really excited about. Seriously, Watch This Space!!

But it wasn’t all work, it was great seeing people and feeling a part of an exciting and growing industry. We’ve all experienced some isolation in the last couple of years, so it was wonderful seeing old friends and making new ones.

Once again a big shout out to The Production House Events who made it all possible. These guys know events! Many milestones were reached on the weekend – including ASCD22 being the first large scale hybrid event in over 2 years! Big congratulations to Gina & TPHE Team.

Well done to the organisers of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists 2022 Symposium, it has set an industry standard on how to bring people, ideas and information together!
